I have to agree with Aspiemom. Although it would be nice to have everything we wanted... I am sure it helps us appreciate things more when we receive them.
Boy, Amy, what a great question! I really don't think I've ever want everything I wish for because I wouldn't have anything to wish for and work to attain. Dreams are what keep hope alive!
i do have everything i want. i am unbelievably rich. i dont have a lot of money - in fact, i have next to no money at all. (im related to people with a lot of money, so im really lucky.) but when i count my blessings - in health, children, abilities, family and friends... i realize how truly blessed i am... it occured to me at christmas when people asked me what i wanted and there was literally nothing at all i could think of.
To be someplace cold, with snow, with my good friend sitting across the table talking to me and cooking me wonderful low carb food, and laughing until my stitches hurt, and a puppy licking my toes, and praying through the tears, and ....
Just got home after sitting in hospital waiting rooms while doctors worked to dissolve a huge blood clot in my husband's groin. He is very sore and can't get around very good, so kids me that now he can act like a typical male and sit on the couch watching sports while I wait on him hand and foot. At the moment, I am ever so grateful to be waiting on him hand and foot. I have everything I need.
That is a very good question. If we had all we wanted..what would happen then? Would we be satisfied or still need more?Your making me think!Hope your day has gotten better!Hugs
JWC I hope your DH feels better soon. It is hard when they are sick or hurting. You are right...you are blessed to have him home to take care of him. Have a blessed Sunday.

Good question. If we had everything we wanted, we wouldn't appreciate it. This way we learn to appreciate the little things!
Praying for you!
Deep thoughts. Kind of along the line of if I could be someone else who would I be?
I hope your day gets better soon! Wanna cream puff? :)
if i had everything i wanted, i'd probably want none of it.
