I love this picture. One of the techs came in today to check on Cole. He told me he went home and had been really worried about Cole. He asked me if it would offend me if he prayed over Cole. Offend me...never. What a blessing that Cole has such amazing people taking care of him...that they work as hard as they can to help him get stronger and also pray for him and with him. God is Good.
Cole's blood sugars remain elevated. This is a concern to the specialist. He did order some pancreas testing and a antibody test. These will take a few days to come back. Maybe they will give us a more clear answer. Until then he is being treated with insulin and also having gis sugars tested every 3 hrs.
The Dr did add a new medication today. He also said he has some concerns with the deep breathing Cole and the sounds of his left lung. He has respiratory coming in every 2 hrs and now they added a vest that shakes him to break the fluid up better.
Cole did mouth the words to me early this morning that he needed to go home. That was enough to break my heart...I assured him soon we would be home ...
He is so sweet and so brave. I am so thankful we have such wonderful people taking care of him.

Amy, I don't know what's going on with Cole, but I will be thinking of you and him, and your entire family. You have had to over come one obstacle/heartbreak after another. You amaze me.

Amy, I feel so bad for what you have to go through. It's bad enough watching a spouse go through it but an innocent, little child....I can't imagine.

Dear Lord, thank you that you have your people looking after Cole right now. Lord, i pray you will give those doctors wisdome and direction as they figure out the best way to treat him to make him well again. God, i ask that you would lay your healing hand on that little boy tonight. Give him and his family strength and peace through this. Comfort them and encourage them.

I haven't blogged all weekend, so I had no idea that Cole was sick and in the hospital. I am so very sorry! Having a sick child sure makes you feel helpless, doesn't it? I will lift Cole and all of you up in my prayers. God Bless You, sweet friend...stay strong!

Oh, Amy, so sorry to read that Cole is so sick. I am in London visiting my daughter, and wanted to let you know I lit a candle in Westminster Abbey today and prayed for healing for Cole and for healing and strength for you.

Sorry to hear about Cole. Sounds a lot like a Cystic Fibrosis patient at this point. You sure do have doctors that know there stuff there. I do my vest 3 times a day, when I'm healthy. I'll be vesting in California and thinking about Cole. Hope he gets better soon!!!
