I was blessed to win your last giveaway so you don't need to enter me in this giveaway, but i thought i'd still share.
My family loved baking lots of Christmas goodies to share with our neighbors and guests. Each kid got to open a gift on Christmas eve.
And my dad always read the Christmas story out of the bible on Christmas morning before we opened gifts.
Yes, i think these are things we'll continue to do with our kids.

My favorite part of Christmas was that we got to open all of our gifts on Christmas Eve. We would have to sit through church (I am not even sure how we did that!) and then went home, my mom had a ton of little finger foods for us to eat, and then we would wait until really late and open ALL of our gifts. The next day was reserved for our stockings, and we loved it this way. that was my very favorite holiday tradition :)
Oh how I LOVE Christmas!

Okay, I don't have any children yet, BUT I'll tell you a wonderful christmas memory! I was 11, CHristmas morning, we get up go into the living room, And there's this big EMPTY box. My parents say "oh no must have gotten out, you better go find it." We spent forever looking through the house. It was a puppy, ST. Bernard. Best dog EVER. *Gabby

okay...so i don't have children yet but I do hope to carry this tradition on with them someday when I do have them....every year growing up we always read this Christmas story about Santa and him "telling the children" what Christmas was really about. It talked of different symbols, like the candy cane, color red, candle, etc...it was really good. reminds you what Christmas is really about.

We always went out one night before Christmas and drove around looking at Christmas lights. We'd also go to a duckpond and feed the ducks, but the ducks are no longer there.

When I was little, my dad used to pile everyone in the car on Christmas Eve and go look at all the houses that had Christmas lights.
We wouldn't go home until we found the best house!

I still continue that today. It kind of stuck with me after he passed.
My husband likes the new tradition as well =]

When my girls were very young we would make ornaments and gingerbread houses(with graham crackers) with royal icing. SO fun!

Christmas morning is always magical. I love getting up and looking in the family room where the tree is...it glistens! My favorite part of Christmas morning is the stockings...year after year we get like items, but it never gets old. When I start my family I will continue the tradition....it makes me so happy to think about it.

My favorite Christmas memory is going to my Grandparents house on Christmas Eve with all my extended family there after the candlelight service at church. We'd eat food, sing Christmas carols, read the Christmas story, and open a present. Such great times! We got to do it for Amber's first Christmas last year :D

My dad used to read Luke 2 every year before we opened presents to make sure we knew the importance of Christmas and what the day really means. He died completely unexpectedly of a heart attack on Christmas night almost 3 years ago, after a wonderful last day together, and since then I know I will ALWAYS incorporate this tradition into our Christmas mornings....or Christmas Eve (whenever we open gifts!). Still, I wish he was here with us to continue the tradition on his own with my kids.

When I was little on Christmas morning there would always be sleigh marks and hoof marks in the yard..every year.Looking for and finding those sleigh marks seemed so magical back then..I still do this with my family every year!
