Not Me Monday..

It is Monday Morning and I do so like to begin the week with the Not Me Monday Meme hosted by MckMama at My Charming Kids.
I DID NOT agree to put some simple highlights in Emily's hair yesterday.
I DID NOT think to myself ...I have never done this..how freakin hard can it be?
I DID NOT think how much fun I had while pulling her hair thru the cap and then I DID NOT think wow I am really good at this.
I DID NOT freak out when I happen to look at her hair 1/2 way thru and notice it was almost white vs the Carmel the box said.
I DID NOT tell her as we washed it how much I loved her and she was beautiful no matter what.
I DID NOT threaten Reed and Philip as they came into the kitchen to watch Emily's reaction to her new hair. BRATS..lol
Emily DID NOT freak out and tell her over and over it is my first day of JR high..my hair is ruined.
WE DID NOT go to Walgreen's to get more color ..and Emily DID NOT wear a hoodie in 99 degree Florida weather to get the OMG mom fix my hair color.
I AM NOT all that this morning because Emily's hair looks woo hoo.
I AM NOT thinking her friends will all want me to do their hair now..LMBO.
Thank goodness...because I NEVER thought maybe we could just cut out each strand of the highlighted aka bleached white hair.
Reed just left for his first say of High School ..I DID NOT really want to drive him there so I could see him walk into high school for the first time.
And when I DID NOT ask him if he wanted me to take him he DID NOT look at me and say Why would you want to do that...I have the bus Mom and it does not take pictures as I walk in. ha funny Reed.
I am laying here watching my sweet baby girl get ready for her first day of Jr. High . I AM NOT trying to figure out how in the world my baby girl looks like this young lady getting all dolled up to LEARN.
I AM NOT so freakin happy that Cole Tre missed the cut off to start K by 20 days. Woo Hoo...
I AM NOT trying to think about the silly fact that I lost 4 readers over the weekend. I really DO NOT care...really...But tell me WHY WHY WHY. Okay sorry I AM over it. LOL come back...come on you know you wanna.

Okay where is the picture of the grand finale and fixed hair. I was so looking forward to seeing it. And I think I'll go ahead and have my hair lady do my hair. :)
And I am NOT looking forward to my baby boy starting 6th grade.

I hear ya, Amy! My daughter called me in tears the day before her senior picture was taken. She and her friends decided to highlight her hair and her hair turned out purple! More like grape. Yep - its in the yearbook that way. Fun memories!

Great Not Me. Something that happened to us this weekend: I am not trying to figure out why that young man cashier at wallyworld thought my May is a high schooler and driving and dating... WHAT?

I also wanted to see a picture of the finished product!
My baby missed the cutoff for school by 7 days!
You could have followed along behind the bus and taken a picture!

Any pics of your handiwork? :)

That is good about Cole not going to K this year. He's some of the best therapy for you, isn't he. You know, aside from me. lol

You must show us pictures! I know how you feel about your son going off to high school and your daughter heading off to Jr. High. Brittany and Abby started back today...Brittany is a senior and Abby is in 7th grade. I have to admit, I got really choked up when they left!

Oh lordy what a crazy hair fiasco!!! Definitely would love to see pictures, although I am sure Emily isn't too big on having any taken for all of us.

As for the followers - I just lost one myself (and have sat all day commentless) and can't help but wonder what I do wrong....(really does it matter?!)

I did that to my daughter when she was a Freshman...she had a 1" long haircut, and we dabbed hair bleach on the tips. Because her hair was so dark brown, it just turned orange, BRIGHT orange. She looked just like Annie Lennox.....I sang "Sweet Dream are Made of These" all night long, much to her dismay....we had to fix it the next morning before the first day of school the next day. Us moms are SO SILL

The people have spoken. You're going to have to post a picture of the hair. Maybe this is the beginning of another career... =)

oh, I've thought about trying to do my girl's highlights also because I hate to pay for both of us to get them... this made me realize maybe I shouldn't....My 13 y/o is a little bit of an over-reactor on any given day...imagine what she'd do if I messed up her hair!!!
