Vent update..

After some calls that ended up being not so nice....I got a very nice call back from the PA this afternoon.

Philip will be seen tomorrow at 11:15...I was warned that the regular Dr is out of town so this may be just a "lets get him over the hump" fix appt tomorrow. Not the best..but we will take it...It is a step in the right direction.

The reason I did not take him to the ER is because of the type of machine he has..he can only have certain types of meds and also they can only set the machine. I think in the end the ER would of been a big mess. BUT...I will be asking the DR what we should do next time we face this..and he is gone or it is at night..or a holiday..etc.

Philip has been sick all day. He finally got up at 5:30 and is just taking things really slow.

Thank you all for your comments...your support meant so much to me today ....and everyday.

How in the world..did I get so blessed to have all of you on Philip's team?

Ugh. I just read your posts today and not to state the ridiculously obvious here, but I wish Philip didn't have to go thru such things!!! :-( Poor kiddo... I hope that you are able to effectively 'get over the hump' until he can see his real doctor... :-/

There are others out there that care. I realized that with my own blog and it's so wonderful to feel that support. It helps to have love and support even from those you don't know.

Amy, I don't know where to begin. But I have such a lump in my throat.

Personally, we're feeling very discouraged with the medical system. We've been to doctor after doctor to try to find out reasons for odd symptoms my son has had for years (usually high 103-104 fevers, low platelets, anemia, and frequent tummy aches) and no one has answers. In the meantime we're spending valuable money on each and every visit ans all of the "fix it" drugs just to fix symptoms and not he real issue.

I pray for peace for you, my friend. Keep writing. Even when we're lurking, we're here.
