My 15 Year Old..

I do not blog much about Reed..why? Because he is 15..he does not talk ..or really want to a part of our family unless it involves food or money...ha does that explain that? But I wanted to brag about him tonight. He is the sweetest child I have...yep he really is. But he is 15 and he is such a teenage boy...my goodness...Wanna know something else..he would have a fit if he knew I was saying..he has the most beautiful blue eyes and the funnest sence of humor. But once again he is 15...and that will pass..right?

Reed made some wonderful homemade french fries. I am telling you the boy can cook. Did I mention he wants to kill some squirrels and make stew...Ha. He keeps saying that to me to get a reaction. I finally said okay and he looked shocked. I can promise you I am not eating squirrel..and he is not making any in my house. But he can make his wonderful french fries any day and everyday.

Oh, that is so sweet. The cooking homemade fries part, not the squirrel stew. My boys got all quiet and sullen at that age too. But now they actually TALK to me!

I've always loved teenaged boys, my sons were so much fun and so much worry back then. They are now 27 & 28 and I wish they were 15 again. I am sure Reed is a gentle soul, his pictures always look that way to me...he has had alot to deal with in his young life, I am sure it has made him wise for his years and appreciate life a bit more than his peers do right at the moment. You may be blessed as I was to never have those horror stories I heard of teenagers. Both my sons and my daughter were wonderful blessings during that time...I just tried to remember what I was like when I was a teen (I was horrid) but I tried to remember how I felt and what I wanted and needed and I treated them with respect, I respected their views, their opinions and their right to find themselves...and it has worked out wonderfully, but then you know that...you are a great mom.

Love you girl!

Next time he says he wants to make squirrel stew, tell him you prefer raccoons.;) He sounds like an amazing young man.
