Mom...Something Has Happened In Your Blog

I am up to get my pain medication and Emily comes in and says Mommy something has happened in your blog...My first thought was...ok well let me honest my first thought was OMG I need my pain meds and then Oh I hope my blog has not crashed and is gone. She read me the comments and she kept saying...oh it is sweet they keep calling your SITSA...Finally after a bunch of times it dawns on me...There is a reason they are calling me that. Just remember I am on pain meds so I am a little slow in my thinking. Then I had to find out what this Sits stuff is...and I am floored. I lay here and I am really just shocked and humbled. Wanna know what popped in my head...Why in the world would they care so much. I am just simple me..and all of these wonderful ladies have come here to offer such words of support. In a instant I thought...I do not deserve this. And while I may not deserve this....I will take every bit of it. I am going to embrace your support and strength . Today I feel like I am not alone. There are people who know about me and Philip. There are people who care . And one day I will play it forward. I will NEVER forget the wonderful support ALL of you have given our family. Thank you Jane.
You have jumped on my Amy team and you have taken charge. I know God placed you in my life for a reason. You are such a blessing to me and our family. Thank You for being YOU. Thank you Sits . What a blessing for you to share our family on your blog. I feel honored to be a SITsa...All of this has made today easier. Thank you ALL.

Something I have learned while being a parts of SITS, is that people really do CARE. It's amazing how supportive all these women are. As SITStas, we are here for you. We will pray for you and give you support in any way we can.

God Bless you and your family,
Sandy:)

Amy,

I am so thankful that, for some reason, God lead me straight to you. I am so glad that Ang posted about you on her blog. You see, we have a true connection...this thing called cancer. Though I have not been diagnosed with it myself, it's hit very close to home. My mom, dad, and brother all had it. I just learned three days ago that my only other sibling, my brother, was diagnosed with Melanoma. So, even if I can't fully understand what emotions you're experiencing right now, you can rest assured that I get it...I really do!

You know, Amy, like you, I believe in being REAL with people. There's no other way to be, in my eyes. So, use this blog to lean on those of us who care and who are praying for you, your son, and the rest of your family. Allow us to give you strength when you are feeling weak. Share your innermost thoughts and feelings with us and vent all you want! That's what we're here for...to help you in this journey.

Above all else, remember, and never doubt that GOD is with you always! Trust God that He will provide your needs...and He will! This passage from the Bible brought me great comfort when I learned that my mom had been diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2000, and it helped me with the losses of my dad and brother, as well. It's from Philippians 4:6-7~"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus," Powerful, huh? So very true!

Take good care, my SITsa! Keep positive and know I'm praying for you each and everyday!

Hi Amy!

I'm like many here...I'm not facing cancer but you know that my Jim is. Some days I just look at him and I have to realize he has cancer....So....you call and talk to my Jim anytime for support and I'll talk to your Jim as the support givers! Deal? We will simply be here for each other...anytime...anyway.
Trouble misses you too!
Love ya Amy!

We moms never walk alone sweetie. Know always that we are here. We know what it means to love a child more than you ever loved anything. So many of us have held a tiny hand in ours and pushed back tears for their pain because they needed our strength. And many more also have known what it is to need those pain meds to make it through the day. Even more know how it hurts to see your pain in your children's eye. I am blessed with four healthy kids and my own heath. But that does not mean that my heart isn't with you. Ready about you just put the words to the spirit. All of us moms, SITStas or not are connected. I take joy and comfort in that. I hope you can too. With Love and Support.. Lara

Amy Thank You so much for sharing your life stories with us.
You are an amazing woman & mother, just remember how very strong you are.
I have been effected by cancer in my own life, I had a husband pass away of lymphoma 4 years ago & now I have a very good friend who's little boy is going through chemo for a brain tumor.
I am so glad that I can read your posts & know somewhat what she is going through.
Cancer is an awful thing But we just have to believe that we are stronger than it is, & not ever let it take over us.
It can do a lot but it cannot change our hearts & our spirits.
Please take care & if you ever need anything please let me know.
My thoughts & prayers are with you & your family.

Amazing, it's it? Dear sweet friend... I pray that you have many more days where you feel that you are NOT alone. And Amy? You DO DESERVE this support. You deserve it and a whole lot more. You my dear friend have already paid it forward... and knowing you as I do... you will pay it forward again and again.

There are so many of you bloggers out there that I feel compelled to thank... you all are wonderful... rallying to support Amy, Philip and rest of the family. I fear I will forget someone, but I'll start by saying thank you to M2E, Ang, Jane, Tara, and Tiffany. You all are absolutely amazing!

I am humbled by all you bloggers, those that are leaving comments here and also Amy... by you and your entire family.
